Maria J. William www.mariawilliam.net

I discovered Maria while searching for an artist to illustrate my first novel, The Pact of Zeranon.  As it was a web-only publication at the time, it was important to me to find someone who could bring the story alive visually in the hopes of attracting more readership, while at the same time offering an artist some caché on having illustrated a complete novel chapter by chapter.

Stumbling across her work in my Elfwood search, I decided to contact Maria regarding my commission of up to thirty pencil drawings, to which I believe she guardedly replied, "You're joking, right?"  Illustrating a random piece of fan fiction by an unknown author understandably fell short of a crowning achievement by several country miles, but she graciously humored me nonetheless.  I am wholeheartedly grateful that she did.

Working with her over the years, I have found Maria to be a talented artist who remains dedicated heart and soul to any task she undertakes.  Her eagerness to please and attentiveness to the needs of her client never failed to impress me, making her a positive delight to work with.  During this time, I am proud to say she has become a valued friend, and I highly recommend her for any publication.

This is the publisher that makes it all possible.  While reading stories online is hardly a new concept, most people will agree that novels lend themselves best to print, and Lulu.com has an excellent setup that allows hobbyists and professionals to control the way their work is distributed in minute detail.  Definitely worth looking at for anyone who has something they want to publish, be it prose, artwork, comic, music or even motion picture.
